School is closed to students all day on Monday 9 December 2024 for INSET DAY
17th December 2024
We are reviewing the admissions policies for all Windsor Academy Trust schools. This is because schools are required to check their admissions policy with families and other important groups every seven years. By doing this for all schools at the same time, we can make sure all our school communities have the chance to provide us with their views.
Here are the changes being suggested for some of our schools:
Goldsmith Primary Academy - Change to the oversubscription criteria in the policy to remove oversubscription 4: ‘Children who are attending Goldsmith Primary Nursery and have made an application following the correct procedure and within required time scales’. This is to make sure all families in the community have fair access to school places.
Great Wyrley Academy - Increase in the published admission number (the number of children allowed to enrol in year 7 each year) from 120 to 150 with effect from the 2026/27 academic year.
Clayton Hall Academy - Reduction in the published admission number (the number of children allowed to enrol in year 7 each year) from 200 to 180 with effect from the 2026/27 academic year.
Newcastle Academy - Reduction in the published admission number (the number of children allowed to enrol in year 7 each year) from 140 to 120 with effect from the 2026/27 academic year.
Sir Thomas Boughey Academy - Reduction in the published admission number (the number of children allowed to enrol in year 7 each year) from 162 to 120 with effect from the 2026/27 academic year.
Some schools are not suggesting any changes, but we still need to check their policies as part of this process. These schools are:
Manor Way Primary Academy
Tenterfields Primary Academy
Colley Lane Primary Academy
Milton Primary Academy
Greenways Primary Academy
Rivers Primary Academy
Kingswinford Academy
Windsor High School and Sixth Form
Cheslyn Hay Academy
Windsor Olympus Academy
We want to hear from parents, carers, and other important people in the community about our admissions policy. You can read all the details of the changes here and share your feedback here.
The consultation runs from 12:00 pm on Tuesday 17th December 2024 to 12:00 pm on Tuesday 28th January 2025.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and helping us make sure our admissions policies work for everyone.
