House Competitions November 2023

House Competitions

There have been lots of House Competitions going on this week. We’ve had a Black History Month Challenge, Bookmark design competition, Pumpkin Carving competition, Spooky poem/story competition, Halloween Quiz, Basketball shooting competition, House netball and House handball. We are so pleased with how many students have entered each competition.

The winners are as follows:

Basketball shootout: Year 7 and 8 students turned up for the PE Halloween challenge

“Pumpkin Toss”. The students had fun with the Wyrley Lions and Wyrley Warriors taking the majority of house points.

Highest representation: Warriors.

Pumpkin Carving Competition

1st: Grace Flynn (Lions) 2nd: Louie Russell (Raptors) 3rd: Leonidas Pattihis (Raptors)

Bookmark Competition:

1st:Ellie Molineux(Wolves), 2nd:Indiya Edwards(Lions), 3rd:Isobella Taylor(Lions).

Short Story/Poem: Students were invited to write a spooky story or poem. We had lots of wonderful entries.
