⚽ Football Season Gets Underway⚽

Our football leagues are officially up and running, with our Year 7, 8 and 9 teams all taking to the pitch this week!

It was a particularly exciting week for our Year 7 team, who played their first ever competitive fixture as a newly formed team. They got off to a fantastic start with an emphatic 6–1 victory over Cardinal Griffin! ⭐

There were goals galore, with Charlie scoring a brilliant hat-trick and Coby also finding the net three times to complete a memorable first game for the team. What a way to begin their football journey!

Our Year 8 and Year 9 teams also competed this week. Although both teams came away with defeats, they showed great effort, determination and teamwork throughout their games. Corey got on the scoresheet for Year 8, while Dylan and Olly (x2) found the net for Year 9.

A huge well done to all of our students who represented the school this week. It has been fantastic to see our teams back in action, and we look forward to plenty more fixtures, goals and opportunities to represent GWA throughout the season!

Keep an eye out for more football updates as the season continues! ⚽🏆
