⚽🏆 WAT Football Event Success! 🏆⚽

On Thursday, our Year 7 & 8 boys and girls football teams represented Great Wyrley Academy at a fantastic WAT Trust football event held at the Wolves Foundation Arena in Aldersley.

The focus of the tournament was to increase inclusion and provide opportunities beyond first teams — and our students embraced it fully. Competing against five other WAT schools, both teams delivered some incredibly close and exciting matches.

👏 The boys finished an impressive 2nd place, winning all but one of their matches.
👏 The girls finished 1st overall, also winning all but one game — a fantastic achievement!

A huge well done to both teams for their effort, attitude, and respect throughout the day. We are incredibly proud of how you represented the Academy! 🌟
