Year 8 Girls Wolves Football Tournament

Year 8 Girls Football Tournament:

The Year 8 girls performed fantastically at the Year 8 Wolves girls football tournament. The girls competed against 7 other schools and made it all the way to the semi finals narrowly losing 1-0 in the last couple of minutes. The girls won 4 games in the group stages and showed quick and incisive passing, strong tackling and great teamwork. Ava Whitehouse and Amelia Fenton scored 2 goals each with Betsy Wakelam grabbing 4 goals. It was also great to see Florence Bird score a high pressure sudden death penalty in the quarter final. A great effort by all the girls.
