Our ‘Emerging Stronger’ response to COVID-19 has been carefully and extensively planned. A key part of this response has been the creation of a detailed and focused ‘Accelerated Learning’ plan. The plan sets out our strategies to ensure that the COVID-19 interruption does not impact on students reaching their academic and personal potential. In the table below you can see a streamlined summary of our accelerated learning plan.

Accelerating Learning - Powered by Digital Technology
This has included the following investment: Google Enterprise Education G-Suite, staff devices, student devices, staff training, content development (e.g. Digital Hub), safety software and a range of equipment (e.g. charging and storage solution) |

Out of hours learning opportunities programme
Summer, Saturday, half term and Easter schools. Focused learning activities and enrichment in all year groups |

National Tutoring Programme
Use of the National Tutor Programme with our Partner Connex Education. Students are receiving additional English and Mathematics tutoring |

Period 7 sessions for Year 10 and Year 11 students
Additional lesson running from 3:10pm – 4:00pm, Monday to Thursday. Focused on small group interventions and allowing supervised study to take place. |

Pet Xi support for Year 11 students
One to one, small group tuition and intervention programmes taking place with national recognised provider |
