Our students have the opportunity to take part in a wide range of trips and activities. In particular, our Activities Week is a unique and hugely positive experience for all students involved.
Through an unbeatable range of activities and trips students are engaged, inspired and challenged through their curriculum preferences, hobbies or interests. Students really enjoy the week as a reward for hard work and commitment to their studies throughout the year.
They return with increased self-confidence, greater motivation to learn new skills, better communication skills, new friendships and a sense of pride and achievement. Although the activities offered are outside of the normal curriculum, this week is an integral part of the school calendar and there is an expectation that every student will participate and attend regularly.
We endeavour to stretch, challenge and develop students academically, socially and personally. Therefore we pledge to offer and expose all students to a range of opportunities in order for them to become more successful in life.
We have tailored a programme of activities for Year 7 which will allow students to gain new skills, experience new environments and importantly have fun with their peer group in a non-traditional curriculum environment. The aim of this week is to develop personal qualities and characteristics; confidence, leadership, organisation, taking responsibility, co-operation and resilience in a non-traditional classroom setting.
