We believe that it is our duty to ensure that all students are provided with opportunities to develop their personal potential. Education should not only prepare students for academic success but also teach about key personal attributes. Our aim is for all students to develop their character so that they will leave us with the qualities to become positive contributors to society.
Our ASPIRE framework develops students character virtues and learning strategies. We work collaboratively with the Jubilee Centre at University of Birmingham to ensure our six character virtues of respect, responsibility, resilience, compassion, collaboration and creativity are ‘taught’, ‘caught’ and ‘sought’ in learning and in life. Across Great Wyrley Academy and our family of schools, students aspire in every lesson, every day to be the best learners and best people that they can be.
