We aspire to be an anchor in our local community where all families feel welcome, included and empowered to make the best of life‘s opportunities. The Hub is a place of belonging, where everyone is supported without judgment, and where hope and positivity thrive.
• Fostering a sense of belonging - Ensuring that our students feel connected to our school and inspired to engage and thrive in their learning.
• Building trusted relationships - Strengthening connections with our families to create an environment of mutual trust and support.
• Creating a place of welcome - Anchoring in our wider community to help make a tangible difference in people’s lives.
The Hub is designed to empower young people and families in the Great Wyrley and Cheslyn Hay communities by increasing accessibility to essential services and resources needed to thrive.
• Promoting community health - Through health partnerships e.g. NHS, we aim to bring essential community health services onto our school site, improving the wellbeing of young people and families.
• Supporting families - From advocacy support to our Community Fridge (our surplus food sharing club), we aim to put in place essential services to help local families meet their basic needs.
• Provide the right support structures to help students attend, engage, thrive and reach their full potential.
• Create a space where parents can feel what it’s like to be a valued part of our school community.
• Strengthen school-home relationships, leading to better communication and engagement.
• Enhance health outcomes for young people, leading to long-term benefits for families and the wider community.
• Build lasting partnerships with the NHS and other organisations to provide continuous and sustainable support for the wider community.
TheHub@Wyrley serves as a cornerstone for local families, providing support, inspiration and a true sense of belonging. By fostering deep community ties and strengthening partnerships, we will create an environment where every child and family has the tools they need to thrive.
We have unlocked the door, and now we want to unlock the potential. This space belongs to our friends within the community, and we are excited to see how together we can shape it to enhance the health, wellbeing and resilience of absolutely everyone across Great Wyrley and Cheslyn Hay.
