WAT COP 2023

This Conference is a fantastic opportunity for all of the Trust schools to come together to discuss the areas of sustainability and climate change. There were keynote speakers to deliver to around 100 students and the sustainability staff leads in the morning. Students then attended different workshops in the afternoon based around sustainability and climate change. I am delighted to share that 7 of our Student Senate Group attended this high profile event, along with Mr Fielder (AHT) who is Great Wyrley Academy's sustainability lead.

Great Wyrley Academy came together at the end of the Conference to discuss and generate a sustainability action plan for our school. The Senate members who attended were a real credit to the school and the group has come away from the Conference with a great action plan.

The Students who attended were: Shaian Cele, Oliver Whitlock, Willow Llewellyn, Ellie Lloyd, Will Brittle, Christian Parker and Billy Robinson.
